The dogs collars are being reversed in the dye color scheme. That is to say if you line up all the dyes in their existing order in the 'material' section in the creative menu, they get flipped on the dog's collar. I make this clear in my video for this bug: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0-Ca_WwL_M&list=UUz5EVxDM_bYZDSfHnyGgC7g

Confirmed for 1.8.. NOT resolved (dupe or not).
..and if you're not a moderator (which you're not).. I suggest you quit trying to play mod on others postings (Sonic the Wanna-be).

That issue doesn't address the full issue.

You can say that it works as intended all you want. However, it doesn't fix the issue that map makers can no longer use this function for uses like setblock with meta data in the command. This is bc they'll no longer know what meta data to put in the command to get the block placed exactly as they wanted it to be placed. Its all a mood point now as its in the developers hands and at the end of the day they have the final say. I just made the mistake of thinking that the community have a voice in this game, but I guess those days are over with.

If this is left in its current state it will be harder for map makers to /setblocks in various positions and various sates. If you are going to remove metadata altogether, at least add in a tab option to the various available block states rather that hide them from map makers altogether.

This is not a feature suggestion. It was in the game, and now it doesn't seem to be anymore. I'm sorry if you misunderstood. I'd appreciate it if you would re-open this so that it may be resolved. Otherwise you're just interfering with the developers work toward getting this fixed sooner rather than later.

You'd think this would be an easy fix.. I'd really like to use this functionality for a mini-map I'm making. I'll up-vote this.
