[MC-54109] Wolfs collar is orange insted of red

same thing happened to me I was using the 1.8 pre release I tamed a wild wolf the collar was orange I thought this was one of the new features that dogs spawn with random colored collars then I tamed a bunch of wolfs all of there collars were orange then I knew that it was a bug because mojang never said about wolf collars change color. please mojang fix this bug.

The dogs collars are being reversed in the dye color scheme. That is to say if you line up all the dyes in their existing order in the 'material' section in the creative menu, they get flipped on the dog's collar. this is not a bug, because the tamed wolves in 1.8.x version spawns with a color different that red.
