You may be right. I had a couple friends try playing Minecraft on the same world via Realms on their own Nintendo Switch consoles. The problems they had were minimal and to be expected, such as minor block lag, but nothing substantial like I was experiencing.
I don't know what to do, though. My Switch is up to date, my Minecraft software is up to date. I tried restarting the system and it didn't do anything. I tried redownloading the game, too, and I'm still having the same issues.
