IT gives you a warning that if you play snapshots with that world it may corrupt and that you should play a different world or duplicate it. So Relogging with 1.7.4 to snapshot would of gotten rid of everythjng in your render that you lost but not out of it.

it happened to me in only 1.5.1 but when I got optifine mod it stopped happening. Now it's all fine. But I'm not getting 1.5.2 because then I'd have too get kovacic's mod pack for that version. Sadly with 1.5.1 i cant connect to 1.5.2 servers

Torches spawn in jungles/rainforests? never knew. that's weird for a torch in singleplayer to just spawn naturally. There is no Herobrine so probably just a wrong chunk. Who knows.
