I’m sure everyone knows, but removing/wiping iPad and installing fresh from pre October 30th backup works perfectly... if you so happen to have a backup from then.
Luckily we did so my autistic kid has finally stopped crying, left a 1 * app review to draw attention as many others aren’t so lucky; a response and timeframe and temporary roll-back is what’s needed.

In iTunes and App Store go to automatic updates and toggle app updates to off.
