This is still a huge issue in 1.21.7 rc-2, not sure what I was talking about a few weeks ago.

This is still a huge issue.

This was mysteriously fixed on my device in a later snapshot of 1.21.6 even though I haven’t seen anything about it in the changelog and this hasn’t been marked as resolved.

I now get fps in the 110-120 range again.

I did upvote this ticket.

Yours is very technically detailed though so I hope it doesn’t get marked as a duplicate or anything lol

I noted similar issues in MC-295828 but I think mine came first

I just tried playing on 1.21.5 and the issue persists. I guess that makes sense though since it’s probably just release candidate 2 renamed.

Just wondering Jyezy could you show your whole f3 screen? I’m interested to see some of the info in the right column.

They really don’t. They’re very powerful and efficient, they’re just not mainstream, so software support is spotty. My surface pro has been leagues better than my previous x86-64 machine for nearly all of my use cases but this issue.

So I guess that means that 1. Minecraft made some change to the rendering engine between the snapshots and 2. This may be a Windows on ARM exclusive issue.

It’s not because of the new falling leaves either because I tried one of the pre 25w09a versions that had falling leaves and it ran fine. It’s specifically 25w09a and above.

No. I tested the same seed on both versions when I realized the performance felt off.

I’m pretty sure you have to buy Minecraft multiple times to play it on different platforms.
