Can confirm this still happening in 1.21.3. I just got a couple allays for the first time and this is happening constantly. When they detach like this it seems to leave these temporary visual bugs with one half of the lead still attached to the fence they were attached to. Has happened both with relogging/reloading as well as when I start to get too far away. Makes me not want to use them because they can be quite annoying while you are working on things.
