This issue was reported to Apple and here is their response, “Potential fix identified - For a future OS update.” This issue should stay open until that update has been released.
Same issue on iPadOS 17.5.1
Affects 1.19.41 on iOS touch mode also.
Just updated to 1.21.20 and the issue has been fixed. For now…
