So, i tried deleting and re-installing the game from the disc which did not resolve the issue. However, i then tried deleting and then purchasing/downloading the game off the PSN, which appears to have fixed the problem. like many issues, it appears throwing money at the problem resolved it
i am having the same issue on ps4
for reals. dowloaded the game multiple times. temporarily fixes the problem
