Yes, but it was ignored for one and half year and the fix is 10 minutes work for any Mojang programmer.
The only response was "Isn't Rosetta 2 needed necessary to run some applications on certain Mac's (not only Minecraft)." which doesn't make any sense because Rosetta 2 is for very old programs that are no longer maintained (abandoned legacy software with missing source code or developers no longer alive). For a maintained program like Minecraft Launcher it's just a few clicks to enable Universal build which would allow Minecraft Launcher to run natively on both intel and m1 Macs.
