I do not have a video, but can give you the instructions to easily repeat below:
Steps to reproduce:
open a world in Survival mode, any difficulty.
Place an empty cauldron.
Fill cauldron with lava bucket.
Mine filled cauldron with pick axe (I used an iron one).
Observed Results:Cauldron is destroyed
Expected Results:An Empty Cauldron should drop as an item to be picked up by the player. You loose the lava that it held, but retain the Cauldron.
NOTE: filling cauldron with water in place of lava yields the proper result.
