This also affects NoAI mobs from previous worlds as well. I loaded up a world (last opened in 1.19.2) w/ NoAI mobs in this snapshot (so no datapacks) and all of my west-facing mobs were suddenly facing south.

Can confirm for 1.17 prerelease 1, prerelease 2 and prerelease 3.
This has happened a lot on my iPad (1st gen) too. I work around this by turning off Wi-Fi or turning on Airplane Mode. Thanks for the news. I'm looking forward to the next update, where hopefully, IT DOESN'T FREEZE EVERY SINGLE DARN TIME WHEN WI-FI IS ON.
Affects 1.19.3 Pre-Release 2. I believe it came back when MC-256647 was fixed but I haven't tested it until now.
