MC-277115 has the Creaking spawning with its head/upper body inside of blocks.
The Pale Oak tree can generate with a hole in it that is the exact size and shape of the Creaking. When this happens, the Creaking can spawn trapped inside of the tree.
MC-277115 is related to this issue because Pale Oak trees can also generate with holes in them similar to the one pictured on that bug report's page, which also traps the Creaking because of that. Fixing MC-277115 wouldn't fix this issue, because the Pale Oak tree will still have the chance of generating with a hole in it that is the exact size and shape of the Creaking
Potentially related but not entirely: MC-277115 appears to be related to collision checks, the issue I've encounted is due to the generation of trees, possibly due to Pale Hanging Moss replacing Pale Oak logs - after more testing, trees can also spawn with 2x1 holes in them as well
