i found a temporary solution. for those who are still experience this problem use a 3rd party launcher like blocklauncher. i don't know about other devices if this works or not but it definitely works on the mi pad 4. just go play with the dang thing and hope for the best. until the devs found a way to solve this problem, use this.
Xiaomi mi pad 4 crashes during Xbox love sign in. When it finishes signing in it would just crash.
This also happens in xiaomi mi pad 4, login and it will crash. The only difference is that even without wifi it would try to login. But if logged in during airplane mode it works but I can't connect to any servers due to invalid session, which ends up with me restarting Minecraft and causing again upon login attempt.
New update, and it's still broken for the mi pad 4. guess we'll have to deal with the fact that we don't deserve online play. seriously of all android devices only this one tablet has it. with no alerts saying "minecraft has stopped" it just quits. Please fix this asap. To reproduce this you would have to log in to xbox from a mi pad 4.
