This is currently happening to me on the nintendo switch with v1.20.41. It was working before this update was applied.
I have done the following:
restarted the device.
click the settings button to disconnect my micro$oft account
uninstalled the app from the device and re-downloaded it
Deleted the save data for the device through this process: https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27449/~/how-to-manage-%2F-delete-game-save-data
none of these allowed me to successfully navigate the https://aka.ms/remoteconnect process to have it successfully login my device.
I continue to get this "drowned" code when trying to connect my switch. I tried to contact support and they sent me here.
I should note that I'm trying to sign my son into his account.
I'm able to use login to other accounts on my PC on the same network. Something is wrong with nintendo switch login process... Please fix.
