same issue here, i thought it was just me. it’s really annoying!
This stinks, a lot of add-ons where broken with this update
I have done some testing and it seems that use animations do not work in first person. I was able to get a custom item animated in the 3rd person views. but in first person the item does not move. It appears to cast a shadow as if it was moving tho.

Does your sister have an elytra? You can fly in game with elytra.

Are you in a mushroom biome? Patrols don't spawn in mushroom biomes.

Are you in rain or water? Riptide only works if you're in water or when it's raining.
I can't reproduce the bug without an entity going through the portal. Can you try it on another world to see if the problem persists?
You can't. The mods will resolve it.
Did you delete the game before?
I think this is intended. Making a copy of a world will add "copy of" in front of the world name each time you copy it.
