I have recently experienced this problem as well, except I have not heard much in the way of Minecraft sounds

it worked

you have to go to nvdia control panel(not sure for and sry) and make sure that everything looks like this with the high performance nvdia processor option selected, I don't think the other setting matter much for this particular issue,

then uninstall ur driver and then update your driver using nvdias website. restart pc and I'm good to go not sure about others tho. would like to see an actual patch or something to stop this from happening.

my i5 has intel hd 3000, which still doesnt explain why im getting the message cause that get directx 12 as well

i was playing minecraft and i checked task manager and Minecraft wasn't using my gpu it was using the integrated graphics on my i5. i online about how to switch it back to my gpu and after completing that step it kept crashing on startup
