minecraft comes up with this message and states that I will no longer receive updates, I get concerned check the website and the website says for computers with gpus that support directx 10.1 and lower will get cancelled I have directx 12, my graphics card is stated online and on my own computer to have direct x 12 support. i have the nvs 4200m. I would like to keep getting updates on this computer but it is fine if I don't. i would just like to know why direct x 12 is appearing to Minecraft as direct x 10

Jarl what do you mean by "Affects Intel HD Graphics 4000"? Does that mean that Intel HD Graphics 4000 will not be supported?

Jarl is just listing additional affected devices from duplicate reports, we as volunteers cannot speak for what is and is not going to be supported.
The expectation though is that this is showing in error for a number of players whom have a device that will continue to be supported. Keep an eye on this report for any official updates from Mojang.

i was playing minecraft and i checked task manager and Minecraft wasn't using my gpu it was using the integrated graphics on my i5. i online about how to switch it back to my gpu and after completing that step it kept crashing on startup

my i5 has intel hd 3000, which still doesnt explain why im getting the message cause that get directx 12 as well

it worked

you have to go to nvdia control panel(not sure for and sry) and make sure that everything looks like this with the high performance nvdia processor option selected, I don't think the other setting matter much for this particular issue,

then uninstall ur driver and then update your driver using nvdias website. restart pc and I'm good to go not sure about others tho. would like to see an actual patch or something to stop this from happening.

My pc also has this message. I know my pc is not of the latest generation, but it was not supposed to stop receiving updates. It has Directx 12, and runs the game at an average of 60 fps. Even using the onboard gpu.

For those using affected devices, run DxDiag and on the Display tab, locate the DirectX Feature levels, If you see one (or multiple) that match the below feature levels, then it is compatible with newer versions (see my picture for an example of one that shows 11_0), if you do not, then this looks like it is normal

I have the same problem as most. Though looking through i think i see the problem?
I'm running Direct X12 and my OS build Is 19042.630 with x64-based processor.

My feature level is 10.1 but it states in my DxDiag that I have directx12.
How do I fix this problem? what do I need to do?

i had a same problem like you. I am not able to install minecraft version.xx.100 to my old notebook due to DX ( my dx feature level ofmy gpu is 10.1). But now, i am able to install new version xx.200 from ms store without any problems. Only the warning, that i have old gpu drivers is shown during lunching minecraft. But everithings works ok.now..

Do you have a same result?...

EDIT: You may need to update your graphics drivers if you're using a DirectX 11 CPU that is flagged as unsupported. I just got the latest driver off my GPU manufacturer website.
