It happens to me too, when I join my friend's world I take a lot of fall damage in situations that normally wouldn't cause it, for example sometimes while jumping from 1 block above the ground, and always when jumping from 2 blocks or more, even in water.
I'm using an Nvidia Shield Tablet (uptodate) and got the most recent MCPE version for android (v.0.11.1alpha). Please check it out.
This happens with food eggs too (the ones used to bake cake), and it has nothing to do with one player digging. All it takes to reproduce this bug is having 2 people in a local wifi game, then have the joining player throw a snowball or egg and the host player will crash. Hope they fix it, i see this was reported multiple times but they don't seem to give a real solution to it.

Go to your graphic settings and make sure that the option "Beautiful Skies" is on, that option activates clouds and all the other sky decorations. About the colors... do you mean that sky is colored different in different sides of the sky? Like, East is Orange and West is Blue? If so, i think that's normal, if you've ever seen a sunset you'll notice that sky is colored different in the side where the sun is (tends to be orange) while the side that no longer is lit by the sun is dark blue and purple. Hope this helps.
Tom said this thing about them not connecting if they face different sides is intentional. IMO it's smart, if you want them to connect just face both in the same direction 😛.

Hi, seconding this request, I am actually using a generic bluetooth keyboard for android (on a Shield Tablet, up to date, game v0.11.1alpha), and, in general it works but it has a very annoying problem, dunno if report it as a separate issue, basically, the Enter key won't send any command or chat line, rendering the keyboard semi-useless (cause I have to open the android keyb and press Send).
