Google TV devices are the cheapest Android devices ever. This year, a lot of extremely cheap ($50) Google TV boxes started flooding the world and they are very performant - typically, they have 2 core CPU @ 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of flash, HDMI with full HD video output, ... a great platform for playing Minecraft pocket edition.
However, as Google TV boxes do not have any touch screen (they use TV as displays), it is not possible to play the current Minecraft pocket version on them.
The mouse is supported partially - the left+move works for "look around", the middle button does and action (digging, placing a block).
But it is not possible to start moving.
As an Android programmer, I guess that adding the keyboard support for basic moves is trivial, 10 minutes work, which would allow the Pocket edition to be played on all Android devices.
I am considering this as Pocket edition bug, because Android Compatibility Definition Document (CDD) does not require an Android device to have a touch screen.
P.S.: I found similar report here: https://mojang.atlassian.net/browse/MCPE-543 but there, it was worded as feature request and refused as such.

I think you've made a pretty good case here. Just want to note that MCPE-543 wasn't resolved until just now; I marked it as a duplicate of this ticket.
Maybe this feature can be ported back from Minecraft Pi Edition?
I'm going to play around with this a little bit in the future. It should be possible with fixed layouts at least. No timeline for this yet though.

@tommo, still a problem using a Bluetooth keyboard in 0.10.5 alpha on:
android 5.0 moto x 2nd gen
android 4.4.2 nexus 7 1st gen
Hi, seconding this request, I am actually using a generic bluetooth keyboard for android (on a Shield Tablet, up to date, game v0.11.1alpha), and, in general it works but it has a very annoying problem, dunno if report it as a separate issue, basically, the Enter key won't send any command or chat line, rendering the keyboard semi-useless (cause I have to open the android keyb and press Send).

0.14.0 build 1 - Still some Keyboard and Mouse for Android support bugs, namely:
Mouse only mimics touch screen gsteures/movements, does not move camera without clicking
On keyboard, only WASD and Esc work (needs space for jump, E for inventory ect.)
In summary the keyboard and mouse controls on Android do not offer the same functionality as the Win 10 version
