Still happening on my realm. I stripped texture packs to nothing, downloaded world into normal and it works but once uploaded into realms there is a problem.
With signs the writing appears for a moment then disappears. Messages dont appear at all Name tags dont work. Once you put the name in and then go to grab the tag, the tag re-appears in the first box again and is not named.
Things have been this way for ages. It really is frustrating. I play on PC and am using Bedrock
