Happens for me on multiple computers. Screen animations toggle resets as well.
This happened to me in 1.19.60 as well, and most settings in the game had been reset upon launch. However, after restarting the game, I could join my world as normally.
This also applies to “Lava Chicken” music disk. Perhaps a case of copy-paste?
