Tested several worlds in 1.19.62 - One of the worlds was created in 1.19.60 for test purposes for this bug. Same same same..... Actually the main world which has more farms and redstone and villagers at base felt worse on 62 than 60. It seemed like it did not long freeze as much but constantly jerked and lagged. I do not get seasick but the motion while moving through the world was nauseating.
The newer simpler world created in 1.19.60 was less noticeably nauseating but definitely showed the glitchy movements.
Very frustrating as I had been kind of on a roll with my world and having fun until 1.19.60 broke it. I am back to playing Breath of the Wild for now.
I tried a lot of different things - Trading out any chest with a barrel, turned off and / or deleted redstone, even created a new world and tried it 0 nothing helped. I am currently checking regularly to see if there is a software updated on Minecraft and when nothing new is found I switch over to Zelda..... It seems this should really have been caught in software testing not released for us to suffer with.
Confirming what others have said....
To add info asked for @Mention [ [Mojang] Mega_Spud (Jay Wells)|https://bugs.mojang.com/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?name=Mega_Spud]
My switch is a Red Blue Joycon model (Non OLED) - I play with switch in Dock hooked to TV and use a Nintendo Pro Controller. System v 15.0.1 (up to date) Minecraft v 1.19.60
Does this affect every world, or just larger world saves?
Appears to affect every world - I first noticed it on my current world which is relatively small/ New but with a number of farms and redstone use. I had just played it before update with no freezing and glitching. After update it started freezing. ~170MB
I created a new world last night, currently about ~ 12.9MB initially freezing and glitching was not as noticeable (Little freezing but more lag than normal) but as I created more it seemed to get worse. When I added Bees to my garden by growing birch trees by flowers (3 hives total) It got much worse. At the same time I explored a little further from base which could also have triggered it.
I then checked an old world from last year ~151MB No red stone use and it was freezing and glitching.
Do you see the problem when playing on Realms or multiplayer worlds, or just local worlds?
These are all single player local worlds. **
Please try and include the following steps to reproduce the problem:
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open existing world or create a world
2. Play as normal.
3. Most noticeable when moving and turning through the world. On new world became worse as base was developed and world exploredObserved Results:
World Glitches and Freezes - very noticeable while moving or turning in world. The movement will stutter or freeze. Freeze is often quite long. Like several seconds.Expected Results:
Game play should not glitch and freeze - Nintendo Switch gameplay does show a fair amount of lag but this goes beyond just lag into actual freezing of the video for several seconds.
Thank YOU! Fixed in 1.19.63! I verified on a couple of my worlds and they are all back to "normal" lag.... -I do find that one of the farms that had worked before the 1.19.60 update no longer works - It is very dependent on timing and I can no longer get the delay correct. It has always been a bit fragile though.
EDITFigured this out. While debugging the lag when the bug was first introduced I removed a redstone torch to power off the farm clock- I forgot that when testing - It works fine....
