I am having the same issue on the Switch version today after the update and also it keeps doing an autosave literally every 30 seconds.

Girlfriend and I updated to 1.19.60 on our Switches just half an hour ago and we are experiencing the same thing. The game freezes for a second or two and then continues on jittery and repeats the cycle a few moments later. Was bad when she was playing single-player and definitely not any better when I connected and came into her world. Noted that it seemed like the auto save was taking a very long time as well.

Also having this issue on my switch OLED with version 1.19.60 since the patch.  Frequent stutters in video, and it seems to be saving nearly constantly.  1.19.60 seems to be running better on my fiancee's older switch v2 even when we're playing together on the same world at the same time she hasn't been having the same issues.  The only other difference is that she is playing off a hardcopy and I have the downloaded version from the Nintendo eshop.

I uploaded a video example of the bug, very frustrating i must say.

alberto_balsalm's video is a perfect representation of what we're seeing and experiencing since 1.19.60.

Thank YOU! Fixed in 1.19.63!  I verified on a couple of my worlds and they are all back to "normal" lag.... -I do find that one of the farms that had worked before the 1.19.60 update no longer works - It is very dependent on timing and I can no longer get the delay correct. It has always been a bit fragile though.  EDIT Figured this out. While debugging the lag when the bug was first introduced I removed a redstone torch to power off the farm clock- I forgot that when testing - It works fine....

Still pretty laggy. Chests take a while to open, movement will lag here and there. Not a smooth refresh rate nor substantial fps..

at least I’m not getting 5 fps like last time

I've been experiencing the same lag/freeze/crash errors that so many seem to be having on Nintendo Switch. 1.19.63 automatically downloaded to my Switch yesterday. Minecraft seemed playable again (still a bit laggy, but played for 15 minutes or so without any freezes or crashes). But today it crashed again twice while trying to play. First time I played for about 2 minutes, game crashed (error screen with message: Minecraft has encountered an error and has to close). Takes me back to the Nintendo Switch home screen. I reloaded and Minecraft started me back where I had initially started playing (it didn't save anything I had done for those 2 minutes). Played again for about 5 minutes, game crashed again. I reloaded and it AGAIN started me back where I had begun playing the first time (it didn't save anything I had done for those 5 minutes). I am playing from a Minecraft game card.

if you're still experiencing lag, it could be due to MCPE-137537

The lag is bad for me. Placing blocks results in a delay. I've even had suffocation occur because of it. It's almost unplayable for me.
