I am also experiencing this issue. Not sure if its actually freezing or extreme lag. Opening inventory produces the wait animation. Sound is seconds behind an action taking place. Can freeze for several seconds when moving or breaking blocks.
Switch with Minecraft Bedrock 1.19.30
Freezing - random freezing when undertaking any activity.
Lock up - locking up when undertaking any activity. Requires either a soft restart or hard reboot to resume playing.
Locking up on game start - when starting an existing, single player game, it will frequently lock up. Either a soft restart or hard reboot to play. Often requires multiple restarts.
Lag when placing or breaking blocks.
"Loading" animation when opening chests, attempting to trade with villagers, opening a profession block or crafting table. Loading animation can take 30-60 seconds.
I can confirm the food depletion is on the realm I'm playing on (started on 1.16) but not on single player world's on 1.18.33. Single player world's the food depletion is much slower when walking compared to the realm I'm playing on. Single player world's I can walk 1000 blocks with no depletion. Running or run plus jump and it goes down slowly compared to playing on the realm.
On the realm once the first hunger icon is gone then the food depletion is rapid no matter what actions you're undertaking.
I can't access the Marketplace on Nintendo Switch either. Uninstalling and logging out then reinstalling and logging in did not fix the issue. 1.18.31 version. Cannot access emotes or anything else on the Marketplace.
The issue doesn't seem to be present on PC but it certainly exists on the Switch. Using pumpkin pie, cooked chicken or steak I can't walk more than 200 blocks without losing 2 to 3 hunger units. Running allows me to run 400 blocks with 1 hunger unit. Run + jump is worse than walking. Easily reproducible on the Switch.
Parity with Java is definitely broken. Java players use less food to walk much further then Bedrock on the Switch 1.18.30
This also happens on the Nintendo Switch - opening a chest, inventory or block (crafting table, anvil, enchanting table etc) the system displays a "busy" animation and can either take several minutes to respond or you have to close the game and reboot the Switch.
Switch firmware: 11
Minecraft Bedrock v 1.16.101
When 1.19.63 was released it looked, briefly, like the issue had been resolved however its still impacting gameplay on realms and single player.
Random freezing, random "wait" animation when opening a chest, furnace or crafting table, slow responses when breaking blocks or harvesting_ crops.
I started a new single player world and have died multiple times now due to lag when being attacked by mobs. Lag when mining. Lag when swimming.
