I am having a very similar issue, I had a very nice set up for a village that was near an ocean monument.
a few days ago I updated and reloaded into a world-one of those blood and sweat efforts worlds, I find that the village that I was in before has clouds in it????? I check my cords and I am at Y 200, before it was at max 90. I had a suspicion that the new update had effed with the world generation, so I copied the world, went into said copy-flew around and found the ocean that was connected to the village- at Y90 hat been shifted up 100+ blocks up and eventually was cut off on new chunks that-as you may have guessed-were not oceans
I really hope this gets fixed, because this seems be becoming a prevalent and game breaking issue
you not the only one, I had loaded a world that ironically I had died in the end-and tried to get another elytra-but when I loaded into my world not to long ago-the world decided to place me under the location where I was in the End-perhaps they changed the height limit for the end???????- and fell into the void along with some pissed endermen. I was in shock for a good ten minutes, lost my mending 1 protection 5 netherite helmet-because the game decided place me in void.
However I admit I have not had the heart to look and see if the obsidian monoliths are effed on my world/End.
I have perhaps the same issue, do the blocks you have placed that are invisible/not loading-after you reload into the game do they get removed as though you never placed them?
also, this is very frustrating when you have beaten the ender dragon, you cannot properly build bridges to the desired areas of the end cities. I have actually ended up dying and losing a bunch of cool stuff because the game has decided to move everything down or up since the update-& the game keeps placing me in some screwy spots.
another question, do you have issues with nether generation?-sometimes when I go to the nether the world cant decide where to place bedrock and there are missing chunks, or if I reload a normal world it will "corrupt" the nether for that world and then chunks are missing and I am placed above bedrock.
hello! I am having a very similar issue, it seems when ever I create a "copy world" or attempt to load a copied world - the nether has missing chunks and you may load in above bedrock or if you're like me watched in horror as I fell into the void and lost all my items ;(.
I am hoping these issues get resolved very soon, this is preventing me from playing the game.
addition/edit, I just loaded into a a world that was not copied and I was placed above the void, fell into it-and am now editing my comment.
same issue here, the nether is now uninhabitable for me, when ever I start a new world and go to the nether, make a copy of any world-then load the nether of the copy world-if it is effed lilke missing chunks-then the next world you load that happens to involve you in the nether-you with either be placed above bedrock or in the void, and there will be missing overlapping chunks
