I'm seeing this in 1.8.1-pre3. Note this is with the effect command, not via a potion of leaping

I'm seeing this myself after I tried to log into a server on 14w25b and couldn't get in (was getting the above error). If I start the same server version on my own computer, I get an internal server error message the first time I try to log in and then the ReadTimeoutException every time after that until the server is stopped

Having the exact same issue here. Phone is an HTC One SV. The worlds I'm creating show up in the list, they just don't seem to generate; rather they just get stuck

I still see this issue on 21b. I've attached a screenshot above that quite clearly shows that the nether portal is outside the world border. Quite simply, I created a new world (in creative), set the world border to 10, built and lit a nether portal, and went through. The resulting portal was outside the world border

Update: After the server was updated to 14w10c, this bug occurred again...

Client was on 14w10c and server seems to be on 14w10 something (I can't figure out what because I can connect to it from the a, b, and c snapshots)

But by that logic, I shouldn't have even been able to connect to the server...

Going back to the 14w08a snapshot tells me the server's on 10b. Thus, this should be solved once the server updates

I'm having this issue on 14w07a. I'm adding in the latest.log. FYI, I'm using the "Classic Flat" preset. Should mention I'm on Linux (specifically Fedora 20) when this happens. Fairly certain this doesn't happen to me on Windows
