To those who say “trident killers are enough”:

We, as redstone engineers, respectfully ask you to reconsider.

The tipped arrow mechanic (Instant Damage/Instant Health) has been a cornerstone of Bedrock technical survival for years. When an arrow deals lethal damage, it is not consumed — this allows us to build efficient, resource‑free kill chambers that fully benefit from Looting enchants, while handling massive entity counts (e.g., slime reactors, gold farms, XP banks) that trident killers simply cannot process in time.

Tridents are single‑target. Tipped arrows are area‑of‑effect. They are not interchangeable — they serve different purposes. Removing this mechanic breaks countless player‑built contraptions, not because we “relied on a bug”, but because it was a consistent, documented behaviour that we designed our farms around for years.

We are not asking to keep a bug; we are asking to revert this specific change — or at least provide an alternative that preserves the same functionality (multi‑target, Looting‑compatible, non‑consumable kills).

Please understand that this affects a large part of the technical community. We would greatly appreciate it if you could support us in requesting a rollback from the developers. Thank you for reading. 🙏
