MC-110370 Skin folder not regenerating Invalid MC-110334 All skins are steve and alex Duplicate

I only run it through steam because that's the only way I can get skins to show, I have tried everything that I can to get them to show up without using steam but nothing has worked.

My questions are, How do I get it to work so I can run it normally (without launching through steam) and two, why does it show the skins if I run it through steam but not if I run it through the normal launcher. I would like to be able to not have to use steam, please help and thank you for your time.

Okay.... this is weird, I launched minecraft through steam... and somehow I can see more skins than before, How does steam effect this?

I have looked on many bug reports that are about skins, but still, no solutions will work. I was wondering if it was a problem with my skin folder, it doesn't seem to be regenerating :o I managed to fix it for a day by going to 1.11 then switching back to 1.10.2 but that doesn't seem to work for me anymore. If you have a solution that I could try, please post 😃 Also, it seems my launcher is completly white o.o (It's steve and alex skins on every server I play on o.o)

This skin problem is happening to me, on 1.10.2, not to sure about other versions. I have tried removing all the folders in my skin folder and restarting, but like James, I noticed it wasn't regenerating back.
