It's not a permanent solution, but it could be helpful if you have the physical disc and a PS5 and this issue is holding you back from buying the digital version. As you know, if you purchase a new digital version of the PS4, the edition button will be lost. Fortunately or unfortunately, the digital version of the PS5 can be purchased separately from the PS4. (Note that the Deluxe Edition is a set.) In other words, in my environment, the digital version on PS5 gave me the comfort of a discless system, while the physical version on PS4 gave me the edition button by booting from the disc.
