This happens on my iPad as well: A number of double chests full of items, placed at ground level (y=64) inside my house have gone invisible, but so did my bed as well!
I can walk on top of the invisible chests, that's how I know that they are still there, but I can't open them. Haven't tried breaking them, as I'm too afraid to lose all their contents.
I can sleep in the invisible bed, just like I would sleep in a normal bed, the sleep button shows up at night time, if I'm positioned right. That's how I know the bed is still there.
Got a basement room under the house which has some chests that are unaffected. Maybe they are in a different chunk? I also have double chests in other locations further away (in the mine, etc.), that have not been affected.
