I have this same behavior when eating on top a chest in my Realm world, and I am able to reproduce it in Single Player Survival world (although not on 1st try). (Also, I tested save & quitting world when standing on a chest, and yes, rejoined the world standing next to chest.

I'm on Windows in version 1.20.12.

Description:

  • Player stands on top of a Chest (including Ender Chest) with a solid block beneath (grass, stone, etc)

  • When hungry, eat food

  • Player sinks into the Chest block slightly and then is pushed out to the side and is now standing next to the Chest.

Observations after testing:
I mention solid block being beneath the Chest, because if the block below is another Chest, this effect does not happen. Player remains on top of Chest after eating.

If there are blocks on the sides of the Chest, player will remain standing inside Chest block.

I am unable to reproduce effect when starting a Creative world, setting up above conditions, and then switching to Survival to test.

Reproducible on v1.20.1 Windows (Win 10)

Issue confirmed also in current beta 1.11.0.10/Win 10/Creative with Experimental Gameplay on.

Game hangs as Minecraft logo appears from the bottom (game end screen), the game closes on mouse right-click.

Sorry, my bad. 😞 Definitely not Java, not 1.11 beta either. I believe @Kevin is correct, the new villagers were added in Experimental in 1.10.

I could be wrong, but those trading UI images look a lot like Java Edition. The section you have submitted this report is for "Bedrock Edition."

Items with spaces in their name need to be placed in quotes.

Therefore, to kill all Oak Sign entities you will need something like /kill @e[type=item,name="oak sign"]

Would it be helpful if a moderator (or someone else) could add to the issue details, including all affected platforms?

To re-confirm:

  • On Android & Windows 10 v1.11.0.7 beta, error on en-UK language

  • On Xbox One v1.11.0.7 beta, error on both en-UK and en-US language. Despite what I wrote previously, I rechecked on the Xbox One and US language is okay now. (???)

  • On Nintendo Switch v1.10, unsure of which language but is affected as per linked duplicate (I don't own a Switch, sorry)

  • On iOS v1.10.0, error on en-UK language

Also still an issue on Xbox One beta 1.11.0.7.

Language: I assume would be UK English as I'm Australian, I'm away from Xbox at the moment.

Edit: Checked language used. I was using US English for my attached screenshot.

Changed language to UK English. Lantern items in inventory are still labelled incorrectly as 'Sea Lantern'
