@unknown:  You were right, that fixed it. Thank you! The mentioned report describes a different error, BUT I followed the instructions for deleting all the Minecraft saved data for the profile -  and once deleted I was able to install the games.

Hello. Unfortunately, 1.2.1.0 has not resolved the issue on switch. Same symptom as before, the download completes but it never moves to step 2. Tried the recommended cache steps as well as general troubleshooting - reinstalling the game, disabling auto-archive, moving the game data from the SD Card to System, deleting old worlds and resource packs, singing out and back into Microsoft... but nothing helps.

Important: we discovered that the issue is happening on the main profile only. The installations complete successfully using a different profile, but cannot be played as you are asked to re-purchase the templates in order to play.

This was tested with both games below:

  1. Captive Survival 2.0 – by HorizonBlocks

  2. 200 Mobs – by Cyclone

Confirming this is still ongoing on the latest build on switch. My daughter has been unable to install purchased games for about a year now. There's plenty of storage free, we install all updates, but it never gets fixed...the download appears to complete but doesn't move to step 2. Clearing the cache and/or reinstalling Minecraft doesn't help. Not likely a cache issue - more likely a missing trigger to signify that the download completed and begin the install.  Still hopeful on a fix but not holding my breath...it's been a year. Friends and family have been advised to stop giving Minecoin gift cards.

@Auldrick Thanks for the thorough explanation. I appreciate the work you do here, and agree with not adding older versions. My goal is to help get this fixed by providing constructive feedback.

I can totally relate to the frustration of getting zero responses, and I would have certainly responded to you had I been on the original report. This has been an ongoing issue for my kid for at least 6 months, but I'm new to this bug report.

I noticed a pattern where parents are the ones reporting on behalf of their kids, and if their households are anything like mine the kids may get limited play time (only on weekends). I think that combination of parents doing the reporting and limited play time may result in low bug reports for active bugs, along with slow responses from the users, which obviously doesn't help.

@Auldrick: Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately the Community Support Discord had nothing to offer besides pointing out that that this bug report incorrectly only list version 1.20.51 as affected. As this has been ongoing with every version for at least the last 6 months and is still occurring in 1.20.61, should the affected versions be updated in the Bug report?

The current game I'm troubleshooting is: 200 Mobs - by Cyclone.

The download reaches 100% fairly quickly then just hangs w/out ever moving to step 2 of 2.

Already tried several fixes before arriving here, including clearing the Marketplace Cache, and all options in the Switch System Settings menu including  Delete Software and Check for Corrupt Data, followed by redownloading/reinstalling Minecraft.

Appreciate any help. Thanks!

UPDATE: This is still an issue in the latest version 1.20.61 - purchased games in Marketplace complete downloading, but never moves to step 2 of 2 the installation. Most likely the downloads never gets flagged as completed.
