I was experiencing this problem with my HP Victus 16 as well. I also noticed several other apps were crashing with a DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED error.
FIX
Change the BIOS -> Configurations -> Graphics Switch from Hybrid to Discrete
or
Open OMEN HUB -> Your laptop -> Graphics Switcher -> Discrete
I was able to re-enable my graphics to high performance (GeForce GPU) and the issue did not persist.
I am unsure of what is directly causing this, but it seems that on these systems the particular configuration doesnt play nicely when switching between dedicated and integrated graphics.
This fixed the issue I was having with a red screen on Minecraft, as well as the DXGI error I was getting from other applications.
