I'm still having this issue, tested on Xbox & Android.
Did you rename your music files?
As far as I see, you're supposed to rename your music files to custom<number>
custom1, custom2 etc.
sounds/music/game/creative/custom1.ogg
Affects any version after 1.14, I didn't test it on any version before 1.14. It sometimes plays the entire track, and sometimes it randomly cuts off... With & without hoppers.
