Hoppers are supposed to remove a music disc from a jukebox when it's finished playing. However, if the disc is modified beyond its original length by a resource pack, it is cut off early. The track plays in its entirety if a hopper is not used. *Update:* In 1.19.20, it appears that tracks get cut off even without hoppers.
How to reproduce
Download and open the attached world. This world has an active resource pack that replaces "mellohi" with a 2:48 royalty-free jazz track.
Take the mellohi record from the chest and use it on the jukebox.
Wait 1:36
Expected Result
Track continues to play for the full duration of 2:48 (same as if a hopper is not used)
Observed Result
When a hopper is present, the track ends abruptly at 1:36

What if youβre in a multiplayer world and not everyone is using the same resource packβwhen should the hopper activate then? It seems to me that this report is asking for behavior pack functionality in a resource pack. Jukebox redstone activation time based on item type or data value is a behavior and should be controlled by a behavior pack if anything.
Affects any version after 1.14, I didn't test it on any version before 1.14. It sometimes plays the entire track, and sometimes it randomly cuts off... With & without hoppers.
Still a problem in 1.19.51. In a previous version I built a custom timer that raised a hopper underneath the jukebox as the custom song ended so that it would play completely before restarting. Now it ends at the length of the original song regardless of whether there is a hopper underneath
This is still an issue in Minecraft Bedrock v1.19.71. My custom music discs cut off at various times.
Disc Cat cuts off the custom track at 03:06. Disc Wait successfully plays the whole custom track with a length of 02:35. Disc 5 cuts off the custom track at 02:58.
It appears that each disc cuts off custom tracks at it's original ending time. The clients should respect local packs for music but the server pack should take precedence to determine when the record actually stops. Since the world has the pack applied to it, the cutoff time should be based on my custom music.
Edit: Worth to mention that the "world" is a realm. As I said, it has the pack applied and players are required to download the pack in order to join.
Thank you for your report!
After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.
Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now. Sometimes, this is because the issue reported is minor and/or impossible to change without large architectural changes to the code base.

I honestly do not think this is a "Minecraft" bug but I may be wrong. You may also want to contact the resource pack creator and report it (unless you made it then you probably could make an add-on to extend the timer.) Thanks for your time!Β π
