This happens to me quite a lot, but i think i found a way. If minecraft gets stuck on the loading screen for a while, hold the ps button on the controller, go to power, rest mode, once in rest mode wait for a bit (any time would do), turn it back on and wait a bit; you should be good. I'm not sure if it works for others but i hope with this info it would help you to not reinstall it!
