The bug
Trying to stop fall damage from mobs in a "standard" setup using vines will get the mobs stuck on top of the vine as shown in the picture. The new hitbox behaviour makes it so the mobs push each other infinitely on top of the vine again, making vines in any farm basically useless.

this is gamebreaking considering how many farms/contraptions use vines to reset fall height...
to repoduce it u may just make a platform in a voidworld and let the mobs pathfind over a gap leading into a 1 wide dropshaft with vines at the bottom to break the fall. this wont work with /summon command or spawneggs since these will always place the mob exactly centered, wich wont realy happen in a survival environment especially not with the new mobs coliding.... another option would be to summon multiple mobs with a repeat command block at the same spot and making them spread by another entit. please do not close this report this is unintended behaviour !

Could be WAI though, since players behave the same way when standing on top of vines.
wasnt recently smth changed so players dont get stuck on ladders anymore as 2? maybe this goes in the same direction and yes the exact same thing hapens with players. How is a mob standing ontop of a block that doesnt have a collision or hitbox WAI ? mobs never acted like players... they swim up in water they dont walk ladders or climb vines. @violine 1101
