I just realised that the end portal doesn't have perspective movement and depth which was in versions prior to the 1.11 snapshots now it looks more like the end gateway.

The end portal block rendering has to be as prior 1.11 and not as "end gateway"
To replace 3d mechanics with 2d and say "works as intended" it means say nothing/
Is there any specialists with 3d-programming in your company?
Or may be it's time to make minecraft 2d-rendering and say "works as intended"?

I agree this is a bad decision to say it "Works as intended"... The effect since 1.11 is very ugly and frustrating (because the image basically follows the cursor) while it was a nice Parallax effect before with depth sensation.
The new FX is like a 2D texture following the cursor... And a 2D texture following the cursor while world does not is very frustrating...

Doing a starry sky block as a portal would be very hard to do if it didn't bob along, so this leads me to believe that this works as intended.

Just try to look to end portal in 1.4.6 version.

Unless you have any grounds for objectively requesting a review that's not just "looks bad", or any grounds that indicate mojang might actually be reconsidering, not just "what if", then this won't get reopened.
Mojang made a clear choice to change it, and resolved this as intended, and have shown no indication to be changing their minds.
