The bug
When flying with an elytra you can dive into water and keep swimming with the wings spread. However when you try to go backwards while flying in water you start swimming upside down.
How to reproduce
Enter a world with enough water to swim around
Obtain an elytra and equip it
Start flying above water and fly into the water
Press "Walk backwards" move key
→ ❌ See the player model flip

This is funny enough that I kinda want it to stay in. If it causes negative gameplay effects though then obviously remove it.
I think it is a feature. Not a bug.
I mean yeah. It is a bug, but a funny one and can be left in the game intentionally
