Dolphins can jump way too far causing them to hit on land

The same happened to me but I was in a river, I've put lots of dolphins and they all flew outside of the river and died, also they can also swim too fast (especially when you turn with your boat)

Can confirm for 18w19b. I have noticed that dolphins will only jump in a pool of at least 6 by 6, but they attempt to jump way too far from the pool (2-3 blocks off average). I have also noticed that sometimes when they attempt to jump over blocks, they will sometimes jump to the side by a small angle instead of jumping directly to their destination.

Can't seem to replicate in 20w11a, however it does seem they short-hop close to the edge of the water frequently and beach themselves very easily in small spaces
