This issue relates to MC-127005.

Yeah, but this issue is more focused on the water tinting addition in snapshot 18w15a. The one you said it relates to is more focused on the texture appearing on the bottom of waterlogged blocks. This player just used waterlogged blocks in order to show the bottom of water, to show that it is tinted gray, even though it should match the way the rest of the block is tinted
