The text on the oak sign item texture is brighter than some of the other signs

The text on the oak sign's texture appears more faded/brighter then some other signs (including; spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, and bamboo). This is because the text on the oak sign was updated in 1.14 to use a lighter color, compared to the other signs which did not have this same change made.

Marked it as related. If MC-137527 is fixed, then this report is redundant, but if it is considered intended, then this report would still be valid in my opinion.

Still an issue in 1.14 and 1.14.1

Confirmed for 1.15.2 and 20w08a

The Oak sign's text isn't faded, it's just "texture updated". The other signs should've been updated, but they aren't which is a weird problem, and makes an inconsistent look.

Can confirm in 20w51a.

the issue was that the rest of the signs were not updated, not the oak sign

oak, crimson, and warped signs use the correct text and all sign textures that came after them still use the programmer art text (other than mangrove and cherry which use recolored versions of it)
