The bug
Entities can clip through blocks in superflat worlds. The height were they can clip through blocks, depends. Sometimes they can clip through blocks at y=5, sometimes y=15, etc.
How to reproduce
Create a new superflat world
Seed: -6264591895041810113
Run
/fill ~-20 15 ~20 ~20 4 ~-20 stone /fill ~-20 18 ~ ~20 15 ~ stone
Spawn or summon few wolfs on the other side
Switch to
survival
mode, and hit them so they get mad
→ ❌ The wolves clip through the blocks

Confirmed for 18w50a in a superflat world with preset 'void'
Entities fall through at coordinates x>=16 y=~ z>=16
but not at x<=15 y=~ z=~ or x=~ y=~ z<=15
players are not affected.
As a side note:
the stone block at 16 ~ 16 is not spawned either for the platform that usually spawns in super flat void worlds! This might tie into this issue: MC-133205
I'v created a flat world, cloned the spawn area to y64 replaced the blocks to smooth quartz, and then when I try to summon any mob on top of a block they will be inside the block
The bug has now got through to the Xbox live edition of Minecraft. I’m currently on a flat word with a friend (v1.12.0) and it happens for us with any entity (primarily tnt when ignited)when pushed by a water entity. It also happens when tnt is placed in any co-ordinates of a flat world. I think that this bug might only be with the v1.12.0 for Xbox since this has never happened before.
Many Thanks,
