Lava tends to flow way too slowly in the nether. It looks as though it isn't moving but it will eventually flow which has the potential to unexpectedly, if left unattended for a while, block paths or destroy builds.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Lava was changed in 1.5 to flow like water when in the nether – both its speed and its spread (lava only spreads 3/4 blocks on flat ground in the overworld, but spreads 7 in the nether). Are you saying that this behavior has been reverted in the latest snapshot?

Block update issue. Duplicate of MC-14221.

Torabi, I haven't checked how far the flow goes but what you seen in the picture is nearly every lava stream from the roof of the nether looked like. It took quite a while for lava to advance downward by just 1 block. This doesn't only happen with lava flowing strait down, but also for lava flowing sideways. The speed of the flow in the overworld is fine and unaltered. I don't know if this helped explain what I was saying.
