I am able to hear sounds that are too far away to normally hear. I have a dropper on a clock that is about 50-70 blocks away from where I was, and I was still able to hear it. I believe this is due to the rewrite of the entire sound system in Minecraft.

Sounds that are dual channeled now play at full volume in every circumstance.
Confirmed for 19w12b.

It seems to be both the dropper and the dispenser that have this issue. Additionally, trapdoors and doors(as seen in the attachment) show subtitles in the same circumstance, but do not play the sound.

After converting the click.ogg to a single channel, the issue for dispensers and droppers was resolved immediately. I could attach it here if I have permission to do so.

@unknown, apparently single channel sounds can only be heard 16 blocks away, but Minecraft allows sounds to be played 64 blocks away (so the subtitle shows regardless). The only way to utilize this is to use two sound channels, but this bug makes all dual channeled sounds play at maximum volume within that 64 block radius.

Still in 19w13a

Magma block as well. See MC-146934

The splash2.ogg has different mechanics on its own and might need another report. No matter converting it to a single channel, it is still played all the time even if while using "/tp ~265 ~4 ~" after it starts. The splash.ogg on the other hand doesn't act like this.
Confirmed for 19w13b.

I can confirm that the bug has been corrected in 19w14a!
