The bug

If you jump on a boat inside water for a while and then jump on the ground you will take fall damage depending on how long you were jumping.

How to reproduce

  1. Place a boat in water near land

  2. Hold down space on a boat for 3+ jumps

  3. Jump from boat on land
    → ❌ You will take fall damage and can even die from it

Cannot reproduce. Can you attach some reproduction steps? It looks like you were trying to attach a video but you didn't provide the correct file.

Can confirm. Added that only happens when boats are inside water.

+1. This also happened to my villager which was in boat and my friend started jump on it. The boat has teleported and villager just died.

Confirmed this is still an issue on 1.14.4 Pre-Release 3.

I believe the fix for this bug has introduced MC-171969. That bug has debuted in 1.15 pre-release 5 and the fix for this bug may have caused that bug.
