Pillagers Spawned From An Outpost, Become Part Of Raids

If you start a raid near an outpost, the pillagers that are spawned from that outpost, will be counted towards the raid. For instance, if the raid has 1 mob remaining in that wave, and the outpost spawns 2 pillagers, the raid will now have 3 mobs remaining. The makes it extremely slow, and very tedious to defeat the raid as the outpost will keep spawning more pillagers.

How to reproduce.
1. Place a bed and villager near an outpost, that should create a village.
2. Give yourself the bad oman effect, and that should start a raid.
3. You will see the raid bar freak out, and not spawn the first wave, as the pillagers from the outpost are already counted as part of the wave.
4. You need to kill all pillagers from the outpost, for the bar to keep going, and try to spawn the wave.
5. Of course more pillagers spawn in the outpost, creating a near endless cycle of just trying to get the raid to load in :/

Expected result:
Pillagers from outposts would not be counted towards raids, allowing you to fight a raid normally, and without hassle. While also having the option of being attacked from an outpost if you are in the area๐Ÿ™‚

Also see MC-151014 for a similar issue that occurred for illagers that were nowhere near where the raid happened.

Are you sure this is a bug and not a feature request?

I'm very sure that this is intentional behaviour, yes. However, this can cause problems if an outpost is very near a village, in that case you won't ever be able to finish the raid. Outposts should no longer spawn inside of villages though, see MC-139756.

Even if this is intentional, its a pretty bad game design that allows for these never ending raids. A lot of things about raids are being re-worked at the moment (like raiders with banners no longer giving bad oman, another issue that caused infinite raids MC-146835) and this issue should be one of those things reworked. Pretty simple fix, saves a ton of hassle for players.

This is working as intended - any illager within range will join a nearby raid. As stated by Violine, the issue with Outposts spawning inside villages should be fixed, and this should never be an issue unless you actually build your village near an Outpost.

I built a village near an outpost, and now I have an endless raid. Edit: this is really silly, I cant finish the waves. they dont even come, they just hang out at the outpost too :/

This happens to me! Cutting down the outpost completely it may take a while but the raid wont be endless
