[MC-15566] Baby Animals dying in Semi-Transparent Wall Blocks/Enities?

If Baby Animals come to into contact with blocks/entities such as item frames, ladders, signs, ect. They start suffocating.

They don't seem to for me. Though, mobs do sometimes go into walls and suffocate, so that might be why. Foals are the only mob that do this consistently.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
