Creepers exploding when no player is nearby

Creepers are exploding in the night when no player is around.  The first few times I thought it was the other players accidentally triggering the creepers.  But this happens when I play alone on the server as well.  I have been landscaping and trading with villagers and our base is close to it.  Almost everyday I find some building damaged or a large creeper crater in the town when no players were in the area.

The only thing I can think is that the golems are attacking another mob and hit the creeper as a result.  I've never noticed this happening before.

Yep, happens in 1.14.4 release as well.  The result is that no structure around a village is safe without any means to prevent this, even  if the player is not near.  Of course, golems attacked creepers in previous versions as well, but  up to 1.13 it was possible to keep golems and creepers apart.  With the new golem creation mechanism, golems are spawning  outside walled villages, thus UNwalling them...

This is working as intended; creepers will fight against any mob that is attacking them, not just players.

This issue is still happening. The part that is strange is that iron golems do not attack creepers.
